The Education for Sustainable Living Program

Film Series

The ESLP Film Series aims to supplement the lecture series by creating a comfortable environment for students to further engage with specific topics on sustainability. Students view and discuss selected films on various environmental topics pertaining to general themes, such as sustainable food systems, sustainable energy, and sustainability in today’s society. The overall goal of the Film Series is to encourage students to assume an active role in making their lives and the lives of those around them more sustainable, so discussion following the films is directed towards facilitating positive, solutions-based discourse among the students.

“Watching the movies left me with this excitement to talk
about all the ideas and thoughts that came up during the movie.
Often I would continue the discussion with my friends
all the way back to my dorm room”
